Ride to Conquer Cancer - Group Photo

This past weekend saw Team Raymond James & 3Macs participate in the 2018 edition of The Ride To Conquer Cancer. A great success all around and I’m proud to report that our riders raised over $51,000, contributing to the $18.3 million in total donations this year, all of which will benefit Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

Our team is pictured here waiting for the event to get underway on Saturday morning. Spirits stayed high through the weekend as we had perfect cycling weather. Inevitably, the legs get a bit tired as the ride progresses. Towards the end of Sunday, after battling headwinds on and off through the morning, a couple of us were feeling a little fatigued. At that point, a woman whose residence was on the route walked out to the end of her driveway holding a sign that read: “Thank you for doing the ride. Princess Margaret Hospital saved my life.” Suffice to say, our challenges suddenly seemed insignificant. Re-energized, we crossed the finish line soon thereafter, knowing that our efforts had helped and will continue to help those battling cancer. We’ve already signed up for next year!
